Image Group Options

Image Group options allow customers to choose from a predefined set of images when purchasing products on your Shopify store. Perfect for product variants, design templates, or any selection where customers need to pick from multiple image options.

Configuration Interface​

Basic Settings​

  • Label: The field name that customers will see (e.g., "Image group")
  • Summary: Optional description or help text for the field (multi-line textarea)
  • Required: Make the image selection mandatory for customers

Display Options​

  • Disabled Preview: Toggle to show/hide the field in preview mode
  • Display Type: Choose how images are presented to customers
    • Radio: Images as radio buttons (recommended for few options)
    • Select: Images in a dropdown menu (better for many options)
  • Enable Tooltip: Toggle to show tooltips for image options

Product Integration​

  • Product to Charge: Enable additional pricing for this image group option

Conditional Logic​

  • Visible Condition: Set up conditions for when this image group should be displayed
  • Add Condition: Button to add new visibility rules

Image Group Data Configuration​

  • Data Type: Choose how to define image options
    • Custom: Define your own image options
    • Predefined Data: Use pre-configured image sets

Managing Image Options​

  • Add Option: Button to add new image options to the list
  • Image List: Manage existing image options with:
    • Drag Handle: Three dots icon to reorder images
    • Option Name Field: Text field for the option name
    • Image Icons: Shopping bag and cart icons for image linking
    • Link/Tag Icon: Tag icon for linking or tagging
    • Delete Icon: Red trash icon to remove image option

Default Selection​

  • Default Image: Dropdown to set the default selected image
  • Image Preview: Shows currently selected default image

Display Types​

Radio Button Display​

Best for 2-6 image options when customers need to see all images at once.

Best for 7+ image options or when screen space is limited.

File Requirements​

Supported Image Formats​

  • JPEG (.jpg, .jpeg): Best for photographs
  • PNG (.png): Best for graphics with transparency
  • GIF (.gif): For simple graphics and animations
  • WebP (.webp): Modern format with good compression
  • SVG (.svg): Vector graphics for scalable designs

Image Specifications​

  • Recommended Resolution: 300 DPI or higher
  • Thumbnail Size: 200x200 pixels for radio display
  • Maximum File Size: 5-10MB per image
  • Aspect Ratio: Square (1:1) recommended for consistency
