How to Reorder Payment/Delivery Methods?

Learn how to customize the order of payment and delivery methods in your checkout to optimize the customer experience and highlight preferred options.

What You Can Reorder

  • Payment methods (e.g., move Credit Card to top)
  • Delivery methods (e.g., prioritize Express Shipping)

Step-by-Step Guide

1. Access Checkout Rules

  1. Log into your admin panel
  2. Navigate to App > Rules
  3. Look for the Rules section

2. Create or Edit Rule

  • For a new rule: Click the "+ Add Rule" button -> "Reorder payment/delivery method"
  • For existing rules: Find the rule in the list and click "Edit" -> "Reorder payment/delivery method"

3. Configure Basic Settings

  • Rule title: Choose a clear, descriptive name (e.g., "Payment Methods Order")
  • Status options:
    • Active: Rule is live and affecting checkout
    • Deactivated: Rule is saved but not affecting checkout

4. Set Up Method Reordering

  1. Under "Actions", select "Reorder Method"
  2. Drag and drop methods to arrange them in your preferred order
  3. Use the up/down arrows to fine-tune positioning
  4. Configure "Sort other option at":
    • At begin: Unlisted methods appear at the start of the list
    • At end: Unlisted methods appear at the end of the list

5. Configure Conditions (Optional)

Set when the reordering should apply:

  • All conditions: Every condition must be true
  • Any condition: At least one condition must be true

Available conditions:

  • Product details (name, type, vendor)
  • Customer information (tags, groups)
  • Order properties (total, items)
  • Store settings
  • Custom conditions

6. Save and Test

  1. Click "Save Rule"
  2. Test the checkout flow to verify the new order
  3. Make adjustments if needed

  • Place most popular methods at the top
  • Group similar methods together
  • Consider mobile user experience
  • Test the flow on different devices
  • Use "Sort other option at" to control where new or unspecified methods appear
