How to Hide Payment/Delivery Methods?

Learn how to selectively hide specific payment and delivery methods in your checkout based on various conditions to create a more streamlined checkout experience.

What You Can Hide​

  • Payment methods (e.g., Cash on Delivery, Credit Card)
  • Delivery methods (e.g., Express Shipping, Local Pickup)

Step-by-Step Guide​

1. Access Checkout Rules​

  1. Log into your admin panel
  2. Navigate to App > Rules
  3. Look for the Rules section

2. Create or Edit Rule​

  • For a new rule: Click the "+ Add Rule" button -> "Hide payment/delivery method"
  • For existing rules: Find the rule in the list and click "Edit" -> "Hide payment/delivery method"

3. Configure Basic Settings​

  • Rule title: Choose a clear, descriptive name (e.g., "Hide Payment Methods")
  • Status options:
    • Active: Rule is live and affecting checkout
    • Deactivated: Rule is saved but not affecting checkout

4. Set Up Method Hiding​

  1. Under "Actions", select "Hide Method"
  2. Configure which methods to hide:
    • Select "Contains" from the dropdown
    • Enter the exact name of the method you want to hide
  3. For multiple methods: Use the "+ Add Method" button

5. Configure Conditions (Optional)​

Set when the hiding should apply:

  • All conditions: Every condition must be true
  • Any condition: At least one condition must be true

Available conditions:

  • Product-based (specific products, collections)
  • Customer-based (location, tags)
  • Order-based (total amount, quantity)
  • Store settings
  • Custom conditions

6. Save and Test​

  1. Click "Save Rule"
  2. Test the checkout flow to verify methods are hidden
  3. Make adjustments if needed

  • Always ensure at least one payment/delivery method remains available
  • Test the checkout process thoroughly after making changes
  • Consider customer impact before hiding popular methods

  • Hidden methods will be completely invisible to customers
  • Make sure to maintain alternative options for customers
  • Consider adding a notice if certain methods are conditionally hidden
