How to create your first product option?

Creating your first product option in XB Product Options is simple. Follow these steps:

Step 1: Open Editor

  1. Go to Shopify Admin > Apps > XB Product Options
  2. Click Create New Option

Step 2: Create Area

  1. Click "Add Area" in the left sidebar
  2. Name your Area (e.g., "Personalization")
  3. Configure position and size of customization area

Step 3: Create Group

  1. Click the "+" icon next to the created Area
  2. Name your Group (e.g., "Text Options")
  3. Choose appropriate display style

Step 4: Add Options

  1. Click the "+" icon next to the Group
  2. Select option type:
    • Text: For custom text input
    • Select: For choosing from a list
    • Upload: For file uploads
    • Background Image: For custom background images
    • Image Group: For selecting from image groups
    • Date Read-only: For displaying dates
    • Markup Read-only: For HTML content

Step 5: Configure Settings

  1. Label: Display name for customers
  2. Summary: Brief description
  3. Required: Whether it's mandatory
  4. Pricing: Add costs if needed

Step 6: Assign Products

  1. Click "Choose products"
  2. Select:
    • All: All products
    • Specific products: Individual products
    • Specific collections: Collections
    • Specific tags: By tags

Step 7: Preview & Publish

  1. Use Live Preview to see results
  2. Test on mobile and desktop
  3. Click Save to save
  4. Click Publish to publish
