How to create your first product option?
Creating your first product option in XB Product Options is simple. Follow these steps:
Step 1: Open Editor
- Go to Shopify Admin > Apps > XB Product Options
- Click Create New Option
Step 2: Create Area
- Click "Add Area" in the left sidebar
- Name your Area (e.g., "Personalization")
- Configure position and size of customization area
Step 3: Create Group
- Click the "+" icon next to the created Area
- Name your Group (e.g., "Text Options")
- Choose appropriate display style
Step 4: Add Options
- Click the "+" icon next to the Group
- Select option type:
- Text: For custom text input
- Select: For choosing from a list
- Upload: For file uploads
- Background Image: For custom background images
- Image Group: For selecting from image groups
- Date Read-only: For displaying dates
- Markup Read-only: For HTML content
Step 5: Configure Settings
- Label: Display name for customers
- Summary: Brief description
- Required: Whether it's mandatory
- Pricing: Add costs if needed
Step 6: Assign Products
- Click "Choose products"
- Select:
- All: All products
- Specific products: Individual products
- Specific collections: Collections
- Specific tags: By tags
Step 7: Preview & Publish
- Use Live Preview to see results
- Test on mobile and desktop
- Click Save to save
- Click Publish to publish
